Famous families
- Over the centuries the so-called landed gentry made their mark on Great Baddow, first as Lords of the Manor, or as landowners, tenant farmers, owners of local companies which provided work, or perhaps members of the Church or Parish Council.

Former buildings
- This page includes views of Great Baddow as it used to be. These buildings have either been completely demolished, or drastically altered. However, they are worthy of mention, since many older residents remember them with affection from their childhood
