Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS)

Chelmsford Amateur Radio Society (CARS) is a vibrant club with over 120 active members holding amateur radio licences.

Chelmsford Art Society

Chelmsford Art Society was formed over 40 years ago and currently has a membership of approximately 100 established and amateur artists.

Chelmsford Folk Dancers

The Chelmsford Folk Dancers began as the Chelmsford Ceili Club in 1971, they were later renamed The Chelmsford Folk Dance Club, and are now known as The Chelmsford Folk Dancers.

Chelmsford French Circle

The Chelmsford French Circle meets fortnightly at Sandon Village Hall for talks (given in French) usually by members of the Alliance Francaise.

Chelmsford Organ and Keyboard Club

A club for organ and keyboard enthusiasts which holds monthly concerts throughout the year at the United Reformed Church, Great Baddow.

Great Baddow Community Care Group

The Great Baddow Community Care Group helps people in the village by transporting them to hospitals, clinics and doctors surgeries when they are in need of transport because they are elderly or infirm.

Great Baddow Flower Club

Great Baddow Flower Club meets monthly on the third Thursday at the Parish Hall.

Great Baddow and Galleywood Environmental Group

The group was founded in 1986 with the aim of improving the ‘green environment’ of the two parishes. At present, our active membership is about 20 and the average attendance at working parties is about 10.

Great Baddow & Galleywood U3A

The Baddow & Galleywood U3A hold general monthly meetings with an invited speaker on the second Wednesday of each month at the Great Baddow United Reformed Church at 2.15pm.

Great Baddow Women's Institute

We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month at Great Baddow Parish Hall, Maldon Road from 1.45pm (for 2pm) until 4pm.

Historical Model Railway Society (Essex Area Group)

HMRS is a society for the collection and exchange of information for historians and modellers of the railways of the British Isles.

Jazzercise

Jazzercise combines elements of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, and more to create truly effective programs for people of every age and fitness levels.

The Great Baddow branch meets regularly in Chelwater opposite the Beehive pub.

Sandon Women's Institute

Sandon Women's institute welcomes both members and visitors to its meetings which usually take place in Sandon Village Hall at 2pm on the second Thursday in the month.

Theatre at Baddow

The drama group in Great Baddow started in 1982 and since then has grown strongly and now stages 3 productions a year.
