Hello all,

In response to the latest email newsletter, I thought that I would add a page about myself.

I have been in and around Great Baddow for most of my life. My dad grew up on New Road during the war and my grandparents remained there until their deaths. I grew up in the Hanningfields, but went to Beehive Lane primary school and Sandon School.

I then left the area to go to University, where I eventually studied Geography at Coventry after giving Astrophysics a go in Preston. Also started learning kung-fu while at Uni. I came home to my family in 1997 and got a job in Chelmsford, but soon headed off to London in search of a better job and a new life. I settled in Walthamstow for a couple of years and got married to Marcia, then moved back to Chelmsford for a year (Old Moulsham), then moved to Isaac Square in 2002. Only after buying my house I found out that some friend's parents had been campaigning against building on the field for 20 years or so! Oh well.

Anyway, that's me. Still work in London, still do kung-fu - now Chow Gar Praying Mantis, at the 5 Elements Martial Arts club in Basildon. A longish drive, but worth it for a good traditional kung-fu style.

Recently I have been dabbling with web design in an attempt to make a small second income, as my wife has stopped working to raise a family! My main project started out as a site for health and kung-fu, but grew rapidly. It is now a resource for health, fitness and relaxation, called Tranquillizer - Health, Fitness and Relaxation.
