Danbury village and commons

Local village with extensive common lands.

Danbury is a pleasant village about 4 miles east of Chelmsford. It benefits from a large number of open spaces including commons owned by the National Trust and other environmental agencies. Danbury Common provides a number of paths and bridleways across open countryside, including way marked trails and a circular route. Several car parks are available in the village or by the common. The Danbury Society promotes interest in the village history and its environment.
