The highly successful Park and Ride service operates every 10 minutes from 7am - 7pm Monday to Saturday excluding public holidays from a site adjacent to the A12 at Sandon Interchange.

Notes about services

Great Baddow is served by seven regular services from Chelmsford, four of which are local routes, (40, 41, 50, 51) and three others (3, 31, 36) serve other neighbouring towns in South Essex.

All buses to/from Chelmsford stop at either the Blue Lion (services 3, 31, 31, 36, 41) or the Vineyards (40, 50). Buses on service 41 also stop at the Vineyards during Monday - Friday and Saturday off-peak hours .

Buses on services 40 and 50 travel to / from Chelmsford via Meadgate Estate ( Maldon Road, Longmead Avenue and Meadgate Avenue, to rejoin Baddow Road at its junction with Meadgate Avenue near the Army and Navy roundabout). Buses on services from the Blue Lion travel to Chelmsford direct along Baddow Road.

Service 41 runs through Chelmsford to Chignall Estate, all other services to the town terminate at the bus station.

Journey time to either the rail or bus station is approximately 12 minutes. Increased time should be allowed at peak periods.

In addition to these regular routes, service 11A runs to Sutton Cemetery on Sundays and service 31A runs infrequently on Mondays - Fridays to Little Baddow with one extended run to Woodham Walter.  On Saturdays service 31A operates via Little baddow and Woodham Walter to Maldon.

The timetables which follow show the first and last buses for each service along with the typical service frequency during the off-peak period (typically 0900 - 1600). Service times / frequencies may change during peak hours. Services also vary according to day of the week and we show information separately for Mon - Fri, Saturday and Sunday.
